AIDS DAY 2008
Today is the 20th anniversary of AIDS DAY.
I spent it and my weekend- with two lovely young ladies from Kenya.
Leah and Beatrice.
Leah wants to be an actress and Beatrice wants to be a doctor. I can see them both succeeding. They are scholar gals from the lovely school- Hekima Place which I have talked about often. The girls there have all lost their parents to AIDS.My friend Kate Fletcher is doing God's work there in giving them a loving, nurturing home.
And HOPE for a future.
It was an honor to have them all here at my home and to share with them their first Thanksgiving turkey. It was a joyful, thankful weekend.
