It's the opening line of one of my favorite, cheerful, adorable songs in recent memory- The Dog Song, by the enviously talented Nellie McKay.


Oh Happy Day..

Nellie’s  new album, is all Doris all Day.. Normal As Blueberry Pie, A tribute to Doris Day, comes out on Tuesday. I first noticed Nellie when I saw Three Penny Opera at Studio 54. The best part of the musical was  Nellie. I went home thinking of her quirky voice and charisma.
